I'm Writing a Book

Volume I is a first person narrative of a woman’s search for independence. Pages chart the life of a woman who marries multiple times; adopts a child; and experiences men of every size and occupation. At 50 years of age Ja’Nee takes an unexpected turn when she’s inspired to move to Montana. The novella begins with 13-year old Ja’Nee shrugging off abuse from all sides; Volume II ends with her employment at a locked psychiatric hospital. The gift size book is different from the rest as it offers conviction; hope; reflection; passion; humor; resiliency and healing.

The Spy Notebook documents a 20-year period in which a young woman survives due to the solace of writing; faith and forgiveness. Pages reflect determination and true-life drama. Year 1964-1984 journal entries offer an array of feelings including body image; depression; erotica; and recovery.

Volume I will be enjoyed by women of all ages, and men who are curious about a female’s emotional state. It is a woman’s attempt to shake off the past and live free of chronic depression.
