Bib No. 445
I participated in the 6th annual WAG Race in Whitefish today. There were 117 fine folk in my category and most had their dogs with them. I've been walking 1-3 miles twice a week in an effort to get my bottom in gear. I wasn't certain if I could do it and I placed 105th with a smile on my face and a song in my heart.
Sometimes its that little voice inside of us that whispers "You're over the hill and its unreasonable to think you can walk 4 miles." And to that voice I say go suck an egg.
Stepping over the finish line today gave me a rush of pleasure and accomplishment. Many thanks to Sue Brown, a friend/neighbor/colleague that made me believe I could do this, no matter how many candles on my birthday cake.
