Some Can't Handle the Truth

I think memoirs tend to be far more serious, especially when they reflect a lifetime of more-than-normal disappointments and regrets. It doesn’t mean that we never had ANY good times, or nice memories, but let’s face it; the shit tends to stick a lot longer. Happiness has a sort of Teflon coating to it but things that hurt us are very hard to scrub away.
